One vibrant a capella ensemble- one total performance, much more than the sum of its parts. This is LéLé Mam. Now, all their voices blend perfectly. Now, they sing in sonorous twos, threes or fours. Now a soaring or soulful or brazen solo is graciously supported by her sisters in song. Every voice contributes just what’s needed at just the right moment. Performing songs from many cultures, LéLé Mam is a high-energy musical feast, a delight to soul and body. LéLé Mam is based in the Netherlands but sings around the world. Its members, with backgrounds in classical, jazz, pop and world music, are Vincenta Besteman, Laura Visser, Betty Borstlap, Helen Botman, Marja Weers, Wilma Paalman and Laura Hassler.
